Dec. 9th, 2018 10:13 pmBack here again, eh?
Although I have been a dedicated lowercase typer for informal blogging for years, coming back to this screen has immediately reverted all of my instincts to a former life, before I allowed myself to be a poet and before I understood the ways social hierarchies are tacitly supported by hard and fast linguistic rules, where I cared deeply and passionately about every pedantic grammar rule in the universe.
Anyway. Love you all! I'll surely be around, though I'm keeping my tumblr for now too; I can't decide if it's a politically useful choice to give it up or not. Last time I had to migrate from one social media to another, I was writing my senior thesis in college (!!!) and essentially gave up social media for six months––I left LJ a vibrant community and came back to tumbleweeds. This time, at least, I know what's happening.
Meanwhile, I am really enjoying exploring this relic of a journal. I'll get around to changing it all in a bit, but this is such a portrait from, god, probably no later than 2010.
